Background

Dennis Vink is a Full Professor of Finance and Investment at Nyenrode Business Universiteit. He is Harvard Business School alumnus (GMP21, 2019) and is Visiting Professor of Finance at Technical University of Denmark. Dennis teaches corporate finance and strategic financial management for MSc and MBA. He was the President at the European Financial Management Association (2015-2016).

Academic

He received a Master of Science degree in Financial Management from Nyenrode Business Universiteit (1999) where he also obtained his PhD degree (2007). Additional training was followed through the Tilburg PhD Program in Finance (2003-2005), and Cambridge Judge Business School (2013). He is a member of the American Finance Association, European Finance Association, European Financial Management Association, and Midwest Finance Association. Dennis is the author of various academic papers that focus on structured finance. Furthermore, he has his own YouTube channel to help business managers to understand and apply the basics of finance. He has been given the professor of the year award three times for teaching excellence. The first award he received was in the Nyenrode Executive MBA jointly organized with Kellogg School of Management in 2009 , and the others in 2013 and 2019. 

Corporate

Next to his work in academia, he is involved in advisory work that deals with complex issues in the field of financial management and valuation in the public and private sector. Also, he frequently acts as an advisor in legal disputes between large shareholders on the value of assets. His clients include ANWB, BAM, Damen Shipyards, Van Oord, Gazprom (St. Petersburg), Reed Business, ING Real Estate, ABN AMRO Lease, ING Private Banking, Eureko/Achmea, Eneco, Heijmans, Oranjewoud, TKH, SNS Bank, Shell, Ministerie van Infrastructuur en Mileu, Gemeente Rotterdam, Standard & Poor’s (New York City), Agrifirm, Moody’s. Furthermore, he worked with senior management of major international corporations, such as: ABN AMRO, Gazprom, Reed Business, Shell, and ING Real Estate.
